Marketing Monday ---- Wholegrains proposition challenge
Taste & health are challenging to unite from a marketing proposition.
Consumers seem to have an association that 'healthy' is not as tasteful as 'indulgence' or 'unhealthy'.
Fibers in our diet are however a necessity and wholegrain flour contribute to that.

The image of marketing is debatable, the MarCom is mainly seen!
The relevance to spend time & budget is therefore too often questioned.
A missed opportunity, because bringing need with offering in a smart way together = what marketing is to me!

You've got apples....and apples
FruitMasters compared "apples with apples", extensively.
In co-operation with market leader Essensor and research authority Wageningen University & Research. The objective is to set a new standard in the apple category with a 'smaakwijzer', a taste-test.

Inspired by a nice column about the marketer and the necessity of creativity (see link below).
Based on numerous food projects where creative, original ideas were needed to achieve original and smart output
Given the low success rate of food innovations and/or renovations
The saying 'If you do what you did, you'll get what you got' has...

Seaweed = promising
Seaweed has many fans, mostly in the 'seaweed bubble'
Seaweed bubble covers mainly the industry, mass market however not yet
Mass-market(ing) of seaweed is the main challenge today!
